Saltwater Crocodiles Leaping Into The Air...Is This Natural?

I've seen a lot of blogs and websites cover this interesting video of saltwater crocodiles jumping into the air (sometimes clear out of the water) to get at meat dangled at them by tourists. I didn't pay much attention to it until the Why Evolution Is True blog posted a piece on it. It said "The behavior is surprising, though. Given that they probably never do this in nature, it must be something of a spandrel (a byproduct of another evolved behavior), supported by the observation that they seem to leap by making swimming motions."

This had me asking the question: If these crocodiles don't do this in the wild, does this mean they've started doing it only when people/tourists started dangling food in front of them from up in the air?
