A report by Inquirer states that the accident happened along Badiwan, Poblacion in Tuba, Benguet.

The tragic accident took away seven lives - six perished on the spot while the seventh passed away either on the way to the Baguio General Hospital (BGH) or while being treated there. Most of the other passengers, including the three people aboard the truck were brought to the BGH for treatment.

The college students were on their way back to Manila after an educational tour in Baguio City. The number of people aboard the bus isn't certain yet as media outlets are reporting varying numbers (Sun Star - 33, Philippine Star - 40, Inquirer - 38).
