Ambuklao Adventure: Finding Nature’s Hidden Treasure

In partnership with SN Aboitiz Power and in coordination with the Department of Tourism CAR, the municipality of Bokod in Benguet is offering an eco-tourism tour that will run from October 26 to 28. The tour is called Ambuklao Adventure and it will carry the theme Finding Nature's Hidden Treasure. The event was launched at a kapihan forum held at the DOT-CAR Conference Hall. Present at the forum were Bokod Mayor Mauricio Macay, Ambuklao barangay captain Arthur Solano, SNAP-Benguet VP for Corporate Services Mike Hosillos and DOT Regional Director Purificacion Molintas.

The eco-tourism tour will include hiking, boating at Ambuklao dam, and camping. One of the mountains that participants will trek is Mt. Patoktok which stands 1,425 meters above sea level.

Participants are advised to bring with them the following: sleeping bags, tents, drinking water and food for the treks,flashlights, headlamps, cooking sets, raincoats, umbrellas, and other mountaineering gear you deem to be necessary.

Registration fee is 800 pesos. This fee will cover transportation, souvenir items, tour guides, as well as three meals (two suppers and one lunch).
