Call for Help: Balik-Paaralan Para sa Out-of-School Adult (BP-OSA Wangal)

Balik-Paaralan Para sa Out-of-School Adult (BP-OSA Wangal) is the learning and activity center of these alternative learning system (ALS) students. Since July 2, these learners have been preparing for their Accreditation and Equivalency Test, a competency examination that gives exam passers elementary or high school diploma and therefore certification for pursuing high school, vocational, or college education.

Since most of these learners were elementary or high school drop-outs, enrolling in the BP-OSA means starting anew. Sadly, the continuous rains brought by typhoon Gener, impaired the BP-OSA Center. A minor landslide caused the side wall of the center to break, making mud and water creep into the center. The center’s E-learning facility, composed of ten computer units, was completely damaged. Tables, chairs, and some teaching and learning modules were also drenched in mud water.

An alternative classroom is needed for the resumption of classes. As for the center’s repair, an initial estimate of fifty thousand pesos (P50, 000.00) is needed to restore and reinforce the ruined wall. Rip rapping work is also needed to safety the center from another landslide.

Please help rebuild the BP-OSA Center.
