The Igorots Are Shorter And A Little Darker Than The Average Filipino Says Travel Blogger

The following is an excerpt from an article posted by a foreign tourist in a travel website.
“The Igorot are shorter and a little darker than the average Filipino, and in Baguio they can be spotted all over the place dressed in their traditional tribal outfits similar to the way some Amerindian tribe members will in the US in an effort of cultural outreach or entertainment.”
In the article, Jason McKenney narrates his travels with friends around Baguio City. Everything he wrote was spot-on except for the statement above. I don't know where he got the idea that Igorots are shorter and a little darker than the average Filipino. I'm sure McKenney made an honest mistake but his statement is just wrong. People reading his article might perceive this statement as true. And this will add to the already numerous wrong assumptions about the Igorot people.
