Ms. Cruz* and the Igorot Community: What's Been Done And What Can Be Done To Correct It

Update:The Ms. Cruz* Facebook Page has been removed by the administrator. But below is the photo that caused all the outrage. I understand the intentions of the creator of the page and he/she probably was doing the right thing in making the page but the issue went out of hand with all the hate messages and unnecessary comments that flooded the page. Instead of becoming a platform where we can make things right, the hateful messages that poured into it only made the matter worse. It's probably best for us Igorots and for Ms. Cruz* as well that the page be removed. This should serve as a lesson to us all. For Ms. Cruz to watch her words and for us Igorots to watch our reactions when dealing with these racism-tinged comments.]

Ms. Cruz made a mistake. That is all there is to it. So we should leave it at that. She's a young girl. She has a lot to learn. Instead of calling her a whore, cursing her, and threatening her, why don't we reach out to her and show her who we are. Befriend her on Facebook and tell her why the comment she made is uncalled for. And do these in a civilized manner. "She made a mockery of us, why should I treat her nice?", you may ask. Well, because it's the only solution to the problem. Calling her a bitch is only proving that the comment she made is right.

Bullying her is stupid, foolish and immature. Yes, she made a racist comment but she doesn't deserve the barrage of hate messages going her way. It's just a post on Facebook for Christ's sake. Whether she posted it as a joke or she really believes Igorots are that ugly, it doesn't make any difference. She needs our help, not our hate.

Should we hate her for what she did? Maybe we should. But threaten her, curse her, and call her names? Come on people, we are better than this. Even if she called us the ugliest ethnic group in the universe, she doesn't deserve being called a bitch or threatened to have her head cut off. It's no wonder that people are calling us uncivilized, barbarians, headhunters, etc.

So stop the hate messages. All we are doing is bullying and harassing a girl, a young girl who didn't even know what she was talking about. If these hate messages continue, it is the Igorot people who will incur casualties. People will tag us as immature bullies and you can't blame them if they do because bullying is exactly what we're doing to Ms. Cruz.

With that said, let us let Ms. Cruz be. Throw the issue out to the drain. Stop the stupid hate messages. She made a mistake and I'm pretty sure she regrets what she did. Whether she learns from it or not, it's up to her. Who knows, she might grow into someone who will become an advocate and supporter of the Igorot community. We never know.

Give Ms. Cruz a break. Put yourself in her position. What would you feel if you are on the receiving end of all those threats and curses?

To Ms. Cruz, well, sorry for what you have to go through because of a simple mistake you made. And you should feel sorry yourself for the outrage that you ignited. I hope we all learned our lessons.

[UPDATE: July 23, 2011] Somebody left the following comment on this blog post. Judging from the comment, I assume that the one who left it was the creator of the page which she/he subsequently shut down because it wasn't serving its intended purpose. I just wanna say thank you to the administrator of the page for having the time to leave his/her message here. Here's the comment in full:
"The webpage has to be taken down because it went out of hand. I tried my best to moderate but it was upsetting.
Ms. Cruz just called us ugly, now, some of us went overboard and threatened her. Compared to what she said versus some of us, we are monsters.
The page was supposed to be named Ethnic Stereotyping, but I was unable to edit it because it had already reached the "LIKES" cap where I can't rename the page.
Maybe her views of us were basically biased of course, maybe her dim perception of what we are, are dictated by what she sees on vague publications.
My only intention for creating the page was for her to have a sense of humility living amongst us. Our city is now a melting pot of different cultures, different norms, different beliefs... of different peoples.
We stood indeed on same grounds, though others have an offensive smell."
Take and understand what you want from this comment but I'm standing on her/his side 100%.

[UPDATE: July 23, 2011] Three people maintain this blog. Lissie, Mila, and me. We have no other intentions but to use this blog as a platform where we can share stories that concern the Igorot community. I'm bringing this out because we received an email that we deemed disrespectful. This is in connection to this blog post. The email sender called us all kinds of things from racist-protectors to cowards. According to her, "You are protecting Ms. Cruz* instead of crucifying her. Umibaba-in kayo. Fake Igorots, that is all that you are. Maybe you should all move in with Ms. Cruz* and live with her so you can cuddle her all you want."[Note:this is an edited excerpt, for clarity purposes.]

First of all, I would like to say that Lissie and Mila had nothing to do with this blog post. If you find this blog post to be cowardly or traitorous, put it on me, not on Lissie or Mila. As I said, they have nothing to do on this blog post. Whether Mila and Lissie share my sentiments or not, it doesn't matter. If you are going to call someone a coward or a traitor for everything said here, say it to me, not Lissie nor Mila.

But then again, the contents of this blog post are my thoughts, my opinions. It is what I believe to be right. If you agree with me, I respect you for that. If you don't agree with me and you think I'm cowardly or traitorous, I respect you for that as well. Whether you agree or disagree, you have my respect. With that said, you should also respect my opinions as much as I respect yours. This is what this blog is all about - a platform where we can share our thoughts no matter how CONTRADICTORY they are.

Sala-salamat.

  3. we better show them that Igorots are civilized people too and if we continue posting hasty, dirty words then we are showing that we are undisciplined people.we must show that Igorots have a soft hearts, easy to go with and understanding.one mistake will lead to another mistake if we continue to be like what that girl did.so stop acting like an uncivilized people

  5. we do also make that kind of racial discrimination so we need to understand and try to learn from that mistake.if we did what that girl did to us(Igorots) then we should know now how it feels to be discriminated.so we should also be aware of what words are coming out from our mouth and be sensitive to other's feeling..

  6. let's give her space...she got enough, way more than enough already...I believe that she already learnt her lesson with this,,that she will be more careful...We Igorots already made our point...yes, we were hurt by her post, but the possitive result of it???we Igorots, and also some who dont belong in our ancestry came out in one full force and showed her and to the the world that we will not tolerate such thing...We Igorots have already proven our point, and I believe that she got the message clearly...let's give her space and give her chance to reflect on this mistake...let us all move on...and, for you Ading/Urishi-an Lee Ann, I am sorry for the nasty remarks that you are recieving now, we can't help it, but given the chance I am sure that us Igorots will proudly show, tell you about us....

  8. Reading a comment as posted by young javier is a simple form of racism if not irresponsible use of 'words'!I wouldnt blame how our kaka-ilyan reacted INITIALLY...its but a normal human reaction...in these situation I hope we also learned the importance of RESPECT to human being REGARDLESS of ethnicity, race.and to young Javier: being young and 'innocent' is not always an acceptable excuse for what u have said! I hope this experience of yours will make u a better person if not in the future..NOW!

? I can still remember on the year of 2008-2009 .when i was 2nd year high school, one of our past senator told that "tao po ako hindi ako IGOROT" see that line ? ? think guys!! are we not people ? ? TAO tayo met ah .. but many igorots still fight and see ? at last he's sorry for what he did, publicly .. the next issue was, MISS. LUCY TORRES , that she discriminate us again .. what did she did in the end ? ? she's sorry too .. and now, MISS JAVIER . . . how old is she ?? maybe pareho lang kami .. pero sana nagisip siya bago siya nag pm ng ganun .. ^^ see !! people , yes she is young but this is a new generation .. many young people can do things which is not appropriate for them .. let's continue fighting for our tribe ..!! in a right BUT frank way without using super bad words.. as wat they said miss javier THINK BEFORE YOU THINK !! sorry too . but you challenge as it's your fault .

Pati nga sa jeep siya ang pinag uusapan. we've made our apologies, Now it's her turn.

  32. Prove them wrong guys..Igorots are nice, friendly and God fearing. Lets end this up. Throwing back a stone will just make the situation worst. Lets all forgive and forget..May there be forgiveness in our hearts,,no matter how painful the situation is,,we all commit mistakes since we are only human..This serves as a lesson not only to her but for all of us..Watch out to what we are doing and/or saying.
God Bless us all Brothers and sisters..
    Peace on earth.

  33. baybay-an yun. she deserves what she is dealing right now. as a part of the igorot community it is always our instict to protect our tribe because today, the essence of being an igorot is slighty fading. im glad that for what happened, once again our tribe bloomed. that no one can never step on us. i myself is a part of youth society. and it is imposible for her not to think of the cosequences. we all need respect, we always welcomed people to visit and live in our hometown bt still foreign think it is their territory. we've been always humble to them. actually they're already overpopulating our land especially baguio city. it is not just like before that it was simple and THE CLEANNEST CITY IN THE PHILIPPINES, now THE DIRTIEST PLACE IN THE COUNTRY.. why? BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO INTEND TO COME HERE ARE ALL DIRT! (minds and mouth who are dirty, and even themselves are dirty!!)

BE PROUD! STAND OUT! WE ARE ALL THESAME FILIPINO PEOPLE! WE ARE EQUAL! AND NO ONE IS ABOVE IGOROTS!!

its not our fault if we defend our rights!

  34. My question is; why is everyone posting anonymously here? I figured that if we are bold enough to keep shooting back at the offender, we should be as bold to identify ourselves. We are just like people hiding in the dark, wrapped in a blanket and mouthing like we are scared at Lee Ang Pangit Javier (sorry, was that her name?). Hahaha, this reminds me of another ugly lowlander who said; "tao po ako, hindi igorot". I think her name is Cindot Pangitlinan... or something like that. Sorry, I'm not good at remembering names, especially people not worth remembering.

  35. Igorots are humans too. We have hearts and feelings that can get hurt. The outrage is just a natural reaction. What Lee Ann said about Igorots is a solicitation of what she is getting now. She is just getting what she asked for. We've been subjected through this kind of insults from our lowland counterparts since time immemorial. Have they ever learned? It's obvious, they didn't. There are those who learned their lessons but some will continue to insult us for as long as we allow them. Well, for the holier-than-thous, you can continue throwing breads to them. They'll chew the bread and spit it out on your faces. How'd you like that?

I remember when I was young, my parents corrected me from my mistakes, emphasizing it should not happen again. Now this lady should be desciplined. And why apologize? It is human nature, an instinct to defend ourselves from predators. We have been mocked, not once but twice..nah, countless times! Young or old, kid or not, it wouldn't harm her if she will apologize. And why deactivate her FB labeled as racist? We are entitled of our own opinion. As you said madam/ sir, "It's just a post on Facebook for Christ's sake".

  64. I saw this posted on FB and here was my comment: "What others say about us is not nearly as important as what God says about us, and He says that we are valuable, loved and accepted by Him." I also said that "we should not play her game, for if we do, we are no different". Why get bothered by merely a comment? We knew for a fact that what she said is not what we are and it's not who we are. If that's what she believes and think about us then let's prove her otherwise. In solidarity, I ask the Igorot community to show the world that the true beauty of the Igorot people is not skin deep. Our true beauty is in the heart.

What did she think she is?!!Who give her the right to insult Igorots like that? Anu ba ang meron sa kanya at kung mang insulto siya ay akala mo kung anu siya dito sa mundo? What did she have that we IGOROTS dont have? What does this BITCH MS.LEE ANN MAE JAVIER are being proud of?!!!(sorry for the words but I just cant help it)Porke nasa bulubundukin tayo ay ganito na siya kung mang insulto nakakababa ng pagkatao.

I just have one thing to say: We are all made by our Creator, whether we are Igorots, tagalog, Bisaya, Ilocano (Idoko), Caucasians, et. al. so if we go on with racial discrimination I think as son of God, we are not discriminating the person but we are discriminating God's work... Do you ever go to church and praise God for His graces or just go there to fulfill your obligation on Sunday? Whether what age we are in, we should not forget that this world is full of Heaven's grace... Great is the God who created us...

  74. This is not the first time I heard or read such idiotic perception of Igorots being the worste looking creature on earth. Breaktime and I was reading and "hearing" the conversation of the other two "nice" looking filipino guys across the table, guy1 was describing to guy 2 how ugly looking was the former manager of the place, (don't have to mention the race of that manager)and the description goes, "ang gupit ay ganito (drawing a circular line around his moron head)pabilog, "ANG PANGIT MUKHANG IGOROT", right away asked in a subtle tone, do IGOROTS have typical hair cut? I informed him that I AM AN IGOROT. He can't find a better word to explain his side, but anyway I let go, but sent them both the message, ?do you have SARMING in your house kind of thing. Amazing how other Filipinos young or old,,,18th century or current are still IGNORAMUS. It is sad that to this day IGOROTS are still known to be "pangit". I wish to call on the DEPARTMENT OF EDUCUATION to revisit PHIL. HISTORY., Social Studies and all other subjects in the curriculum that tells about ethnicity and all relevant informantion that should be learned. I AM A VERY PROUD IGOROT AND THERE'S NOT MANY IGOROTS CREATED BY GOD. I MAY NOT BE A 100% Filipino but 101% IGOROT, my Mother is half Filipino BUT VERY PROUD IGOROT WHO WEARS HER ETHNIC GARMENT WITH DIGNITY EVERYWHERE SHE GOES.

  75. I've been reading all the comments here and I myself is proud to shout out loud.."I AM FULL BLOODED IGOROT". It really hurts what miss Lee Ann Javier said but it's better to forgive even though it's really true it's hard to forget. We are more luckier than them because we are educated than them...specially those NON-IGOROTS telling negative things about us! I my self experienced what they are expecting about IGOROTS. We worked in manila before and they are asking where we came from and we answered them we are IGOROTS and they are shocked! HUH! They can't believe it!..that we are beautiful, have smooth skin, mapuputi even our trademark have big muscles.HUH! that means we are strong! and handsome and macho guys...and in that time they are our good friends..so if we experience something about like this we will explain to them in a
well mannered way. and still..here in abroad I encountered again some non-igorots expecting that igorots are black, have curly hair and still wearing bahags in our daily life...that's what they said when I told them I am an igorot..so I explained them that we are only using our bahags during our cultural occasions..so at least they know already the real igorot telling them in a good way( I am not boastful but huh! I am more beautiful than them) coz they don't expect that i am an igorota...(hay inayan! tavey ira!) but as their explanation is because of the history before na revised naman na ciguro ngayon that puzzles me why this miss Javier still posting in FB..That means she is not listening to her teacher..no manners at all! but hope this will be a lesson to her...and to us nga kakailyan...will be our lesson too! han tayo met nga aguy uyaw a..basta labasan tayo ladta no anya makita tayo..GOD BLESS US ALL!!!

I need not shout at the top of my lungs just for the world to hear that i am.
But I never will be ashamed to admit when the occasion requires me to.
I am proud of my forefathers' machete that is only fitting on my wall for display,
for i have the privilege to reach this generation so I can use a sharper blade... BOOKS!
When mocked by the misconceptions of others about our nature,
I will raise the longest spear that only the bravest of men could bring, and strike it to the unjust...
    LOGIC!
I am proud of the enemy's jaw that became our gongs' handle as trophy.
But I am prouder of the prize that a real warrior can acquire...
    DIPLOMA!
I am proud of my g-string that identifies me as Igorot.
And there is not a need to change anything in that.
For my brain is in my head
and definitely not in between my legs covered by my clothing.
    I am a proud Igorot!
My forefathers lived with great fortitude so that these mountainous territories will not be ruled by colonizers.
But I have a more important territory.
And I always bring it with me.
No one can take it away from me.
I can be to other regions of the country,
    of Asia,
and places around the world. But i will always bring it with me... IDENTITY! And that is
    IGOROT!
    How about you?
    Where is your territory?

Am just wondering if your just full of insecurities or you just don't know the meaning of the words "maganda" and "pangit".

Cause surely we'll make you pay

Igorots may have the ugliest face
Appearance is not always the case
We'll always be proud of our race

    What is beauty without manners?

    Attitude is all that matters!

  101. when Pres. Romulo said Igorots are not Filipnos, a great Igorot Congressman stood up against his claim. He did not threaten the President with his bolo, nor did he display a head, nor did he brought back insult to him. But he was able to reverse his way of thinking and gained respect for Him and His people. He only used his strongest muscle. His brain.
I'm sure he is as mad as the people who read what Ms. Javier wrote by what the President said, or even more. Co'z the statement comes from the highest position in the country. It's considered an edict.
I'm sure you know who this late Congressman is. I'd rather be like him. A man who thinks intelligently with his brain and not with his overzealous, indiscreet, uncaring emotions. He educated Romulo using arguments. And I'd rather educate Ms. Javier using this...and not scare her away with threats, insults and everything that could end reason.
I am as livid as any Igorot who read Ms. Javier's' insensitive statement. The great Igorot Congressman won "magnanimously" against Romulo. So...why can't I against Ms. Javier.
I just wish this kind of approach remains in every Igorot.
    Peace!!!

in all honesty..i found it quite offensive..sure we igorots are considered lowly even by our very kababayan..we've been the butt of jokes from miss candy pangilinan, called "un-Filipinos" by an high ranking person..we go thru a lot of abuse and misunderstanding.. we were tagged as the mon key-tailed people..its insulting..im a pureblood igorot, i love my heritage and where i come from..whats sad is that in this new age, instead of getting recognition, even more ignorance piles up against us..what would it take to make everyone just accept the differences of each race, tribe or nationality without considering oneself as SUPERIOR? remember,we were created equals,in God's own image. to call one person ugly, stupid or other derogatory term is more or less calling God those insidious names..grow up everyone..and im not protecting ms javier, my initial reaction actually was visceral..to rip her thoughtless tongue out of her filthy mouth.. but im old enough to know..seriously,this is not an isolated case. whether we like it or know, my dear ka-igorotans, we have to deal with it in a manner that will not demean us anymore than we need to be.

Lesson Learned; Before we say something,"STOP" then "THINK".a little pause is all we need to gather our thoughts before we say or click something.knowing that the tongue is like a fire and that one word can ignite a blaze, our words have the power to destroy or to build up,but those who love to destroy, and those who love to build up,they will eat it's fruit...and Learn to APOLOGIZE, of what you have said,or done something that is acknowledged to be hurtful or damaging,The word 'SORRY' will help heal wounds and repair damage, though it may leave scar...A humble heart will be exalted but a prideful heart is fruitless and not healthy.

First of all, you can't expect every "kakaillian" to be like yourself. Second, even if He/She is not igorot but can think better than my kakaillian (which i know is rarely the case.), other kakaillians would listen to them than risk their soul in Hell. Third, you can't expect everyone to agree with you so stop attacking the blogger and the other kakaillians , who i thought, were just and fair in weighing the issue that we igorots are into. It's like saying," If you're not with us, you're against us. You are not igorot."

I've just finished reading this article....the writer would have gotten his/her message across more effectively and calm the raging igorot tempers out there had he/she written the article using the right expressions or had he/she not seem sooooo..switzerlandy..hehehehe...you can understand how an Igorot would get so upset over this...and it is unacceptable to preach at people who got hurt and sound so..placidly neutral....this is what's wrong with this article....the writer preaches to the ones that were hurt..but doesn't seem to have an iota of feeling for the injured party...it's unacceptable...point 1. it should've been GOT OUT OF HAND not WENT OUT OF HAND 2. this is the answer to the writer's question about being on the receiving end of the threats...IF I WERE ON THE RECEIVING END..I'D FEEL DESERVING OF SUCH THREATS AND POST AN APOLOGY....but..you can see how the girl really feels...she DOESN'T CARE...well..i believe everyone is entitled to their own prejudices...but only if you CAN justify your prejudice and deserving of your prejudice...hehehe...it's really true...the ugly ones...they're even more arrogant than the pretty ones...and they're even noisier.....and to the writer trying to calm all angry igorots...please...you sound like switzerland on a world war III. 128. To you Gergeee26,thanks to your compliments to the one who made this article, you did a very huge sarcastic remarks here, which i'm not impress.I'm sorry,if you feel that way...i understand your feeling,..Maybe,The whole story is not yet done,'irony' is using language, an expression that has its usual meaning, in a way that means just the opposite, typically for humorous or emphatic effect.
We have an expression, 'to go overboard', which means being overly enthusiastic about something, OTT (over the top) is another similar expression.
Say I go out of my way to do a really big favour for a friend, who just mutters a quick 'ta' (= a very off-hand, casual way the British have to say a quick thank you.) I might then respond:
“Don't go overboard with the gratitude.” That is, by responding as if he was being over the top with thanks for all that I had done, I am really pointing out that his appreciation was woefully lacking.

a situation can also be 'ironic'. Say a town planner has spent a year redesigning the traffic flow through a city to speed up transport in peak hours - and on the day the whole new system is be officially proclaimed, he is late because he's caught in a traffic jam.

A small town has one ambulance. A man was hit by a vehicle and needs to be rushed to hospital. The ambulance is unavailable ...because it was the ambulance that ran him down and is damaged!

Sarcasm is the use of irony to make a derogatory, scathing, witty attack on someone. I recall Bette Davis' line as a new starlet in Hollywood passed by their table: 'There goes the good time that was had by all.'
(Using the cliche, said in reporting social gatherings and parties, that 'a good time was had by all' (those attending)).
Do I need to explain the joke to anyone? I hope not, but if I did, phrases like 'of easy virtue' would come into it.
To you Gergeee26,Thanks for the compliment to the one who made this article, you really did a huge sarcastic remarks here which i'm not impress.I'm sorry, you feel that way...i do understand your feeling...what you' read is just the first part, who knows,at the end,we are all heroes.

  129. I was thinking how the conversation of Mila and Lissie comes up with the words "nag iinarte ke pangit pangit" mukhang igorot".....May I just ask what's her intention to use this words?? We all have our unique cultures and traditions and for anyone who reads this kinds of blogs maybe telling that she doesn't deserve respect...Haaay, this is the reality everyone of us needs to be respected and to watch the words were saying... Before I end my post, may I just leave this message to Daniel, if your really is a friend of mila and lissie, please let them know how big is the heart of the Igorots is, how far can the Igorots can reach, and how respectful is the Igorot is....I have nothing against the three of you I just want you to know that we, Igorots are good people!

sana you will live a long and blessed life para makita at marealize mo ang pagkakamali mo.
your not young para sa ganyang bagay, alam mo yan. at obvious naman na sinadya mo di ba? wag mong sabihing hindi,kc obvious na obvious. "I DONT CARE" pala ahh...see the consequences of what you did, are you happy to the result?
better ask for apology now so that time will not come that you will say,"It's too late..."

good luck to you dear...I do hope your written work gets better if you plan to be a writer someday.

Igorots aren't stupid not to notice how flimsy your writing is :-)
so don't ever try talking down to people.
and I do hope you'd stop thinking people are insecure because of you (when they're criticizing you)

you need to take criticisms constructively and know that there are people out there who may read what you write and see your faults..

don't make the assumption that you can talk down to people or make the assumption that the people you are talking to aren't educated.
    :-) luck to your improvement.

  161. ahm..Anonymous July 31, 2011 5:15 PM ... if you were paying attention..and knew what you were talking about..(or commenting to)...you'd know what my criticisms were :-) (you don't seem to comprehend any of those.)

and you took down the response on george..being insecure..you're (or your friends are) not so smart sweetie...:-)

    please...practice discretion in your charade...
when you play pretend...be subtle :-)..you're on the same team sweetie :-)

but apparently you don't see you're being too obvious...DON'T TAKE DOWN CRITICISMS if you want to learn. like I have said earlier...TAKE CRITICISMS CONSTRUCTIVELY...AND IMPROVE...
you should be flattered there are IGOROTS even reading your unimpressive...flimsy writing that has no conviction and preachy.
YOU INSULT THE INTELLIGENCE OF MY PEOPLE.

you didn't know that i was pointing out to this writer(or you and your friends) what the faults were in the article?...which would mean you have not actually read what I wrote here in the first place....or...you have read it...BUT WAS NOT ABLE TO COMPREHEND it...either of these two is the answer..:-)

and if you knew the lesson in the things I pointed out...you'd be smart to take it..but it seems not...

you know there's an Italian saying...
"HE WHO KNOWS LITTLE QUICKLY TELLS"

and you tell me to tell the writer my criticisms in private??...good lord...

and I'm insecure?....my dear...you must have such great admiration of yourself to think that people are insecure of you....:-)
well I suppose (you tell yourself) everyone else is insecure because of you...:-)

here's another proverb for you my dear...
"Know, first, who you are, and then adorn yourself accordingly"....

I assume you'd know what this proverb mean.

as a footnote: I AM HELPING YOU (AND YOUR FRIENDS) by pointing out what lacks.

you do know what I pointed out right? (I'd assume you DO KNOW)..

When in fact some Ifugao stand up with chib\n up saying they are Igorots. anu ba Mali sa Igorot yan ang question ko parati.. Many are saying Igorots have tails, they cut heads, they do witch crafts and many more. tumayo ako sa harap nila pinakita ko itsura ko. sabi ko.. tignan nyo ako.. i am a sample of Igorots. i do not represent all Igorots but i am showing them one Igorot. --seriously? she doesn't need any help. and people bullying her are consequences made by her actions.. before WE (igorots) help her, we should hear her APOLOGIZE! that's just it.. and we haven't heard that from her yet so why are people asking us to understand her when she doesn't understand us? Don't apologize for her (whoever made this blog), it's not gonna work, we're not stupid.. let her apologize for herself.. if she doesn't, the bullying won't stop..

Compared to what she said versus some of us, we are monsters. -- i wont accept this, i admit that many fellow igorots went overboard but to admit such things is more than admitting what lee ann posted its embracing it.

  195. creator of this blog i believe is right... we must stop posting rude messages against javier.. we are what we are and it reflects on our personality.. the way we deal with situations reflects our culture and practices. i understand also that the purpose of those who made nasty comments is to show that they are enraged. but then, we all made mistakes. we are humans..let us put it this way, isn't it that sometimes we criticize our governmnet or most likely our Government oficials for their shortcomings? have we ever asked ourselves, what have we done to fill the shortcomings of our government? hope everyone got my point.. let's help one another. if and when they think that we are ugly, let us show them our aesthetic side not by counter attacking rudely but by making them appreciate us through our ATTITUDE..

  196. yeah..they are right.we must not hate Ms. Javier. It IS a mistake..as an Igorot i was also hurt, but as a human also Ms. Javier was also hurt with the words coming from us.she is hurted more than we are..remember that we are all not perfect, each of us comitted every mistake..let us just gave her another chance to rebuild her G.M.R.C..let us gave a time to say he was sorry..for you Ms. Javier, thats a lesson,we're all humans,we have ears, nose, and we all exist..before doing any action try to think 4 it...

  197. i dont think ms javier deserve the sympathy you guys are giving her... she's not that young. i am of her age... she must be responsible of whatever comes out from her... action, words, everything.... katawan niya 'yon eh... pwede naman kasing mag-isip muna bago i-press ang enter para magpost sa fb... common sense would do it...
