An Activity-Filled Saturday

1) Baguio City had a lot of things going on yesterday. Good things. People are everywhere. At the parks, at the sports grounds, at Session Road. It was a very good day. And the fact that the weather was as clear as glass unlike the last couple of days made the day even better.
2) Getting out of the Baguio City Library after a few hours of reading newspapers, I noticed grandmothers and grandfathers walking in clusters towards the Baguio Athletic Bowl. Curiosity was choking me so I followed them. It turned out there was some sort of elderly conference going on. I stayed there a bit and took a few snapshots of our beloved grand daddies and mommies.

3) Passing by the Melvin Jones football grounds, I saw grown men and children alike playing separate games of soccer. There was this huge tarpaulin banner that proclaims “Melvin Jones Soccer Invitational”.
4) I watched the soccer games for probably an hour.

5) I was buying puto seko at a bread shop beside the Maharlika Livelihood Center when out of nowhere a loud cheering broke out from the People's Park. Out of curiosity again, I hurriedly crossed the overpass and went there. Surprise, surprise, a boxing tournament was ongoing. It so happens that I'm a huge fan of boxing and MMA. It was an amateur boxing tournament but it was good fun watching the young and upcoming fighters go at each other with bad intentions.

6) I then went home to La Trinidad and took a well-deserved long nap.
7) One fine day indeed. I hope next Saturday's as fun-filled. :)
8) Last but not the least, kablaawak man ni Sir Carpio diay Bakakeng....hehe.
